Buried By Table Rock Lake eBook Tom Koob Reviews

We live on Table Rock Lake and have lived here for years. The landscape is changing as more people move here for their retirement and Branson, MO. expands. It was very interesting to read of the History of how life was before the lake was put in. Anyone who lives in the area or is interested in History this is a great book to read.
Good read with many details about the life and times of the folks who lived in the area. Great research. An area map would have helped me get my bearings to better understand where certain landmarks were/are.
After retiring to this area, I became fascinated with this bit of Ozarks history. The book and photos are fascinating. If you love the Ozarks and Table Rock Lake/Branson area and surrounding towns, even the "ghost" towns buried beneath the lake, you've got to have this one.
This is a great mini history book for anyone who wants to know more about the lands and people that came before Table Rock Lake, located in SW Missouri and NW Arkansas. Since I live here, it is extremely interesting to me.

I don't think Mr. Koob covered all of the towns and settlements that were buried over by the filling of Table Rock Lake, but he gives lots of the areas that were buried.

The author covers the rivers, the jobs, the farmlands, the family histories, and lots of other interesting facts.
Great book if you are living in the area. The only thing I wish the author would have included is maps showing where these towns etc were located.
I live in Branson, Missouri and my dad helped build the table rock dam. So was great to read about it.
Very good reference work. Maps of the regions being discussed would be helpful. Love the colorful history revealed.
We are moving to this area so I purchased it for my husband for Christmas. He is finding it very interesting to read. I will read it after we move and he's finished with it. Will try to remember to update this after I've read it.
